I haven't updated this in a horribly long time and this is important stuff.
I will be out of touch for everything but email and not doing new eBay or Etsy or anything listings till sometime in June, because our family is moving to Russellville, Arkansas or one of the little towns around Russellville or Dardanelle on June 1st. I'm not exactly sure where the house they got is, because they haven't mentioned the address, but I know where they were looking and they got a good one with a fireplace.
My room actually has a closet! Yay me! It'll be so great to have more space in the room itself not living with closet stuff cluttering the main room.
Meanwhile, back in middle of December, I finally settled on a topic and started my SBI! site that I bought back in October. October through December were spent learning the system and the software and applying it to create a good niche for an information site. I now have 75 pages on it and a good hundred new visitors a day, which is just awesome and more traffic than I've ever had on anything! Here is the URL:
http://www.explore-oil-pastels-with-robert-sloan.com is a general information site about Oil Pastels -- a wonderful fine art medium I've been immersing in. It can emulate anything from oil painting to pastel painting, you can do realism, expressionism, impressionism, abstracts, anything you want with it and it's clean and dustfree. Even some of the artist grade ones are nontoxic, like Caran d'Ache Neopastels which are one of my favorites.
I'm getting pretty darn good with them even in ACEO size, which I didn't even think was possible with a pasteling medium. So check it out and bookmark it, in the long run I'm building it to be a 200 page online reference book maintained with the latest information on the medium. It's ad supported, so if you like me personally and want to shop at Blick or Jerry's Artarama, navigate there on one of my ads and you'll be helping me get a commission that doesn't cost you anything. It is against the rules to kick back any of that commission, they're very strict, but you have my heartfelt thanks and it helps support the site.
I should be back a bit more often after I get settled in and more active on eBay again.
See you in June!
